Acorn Candle Snuffer

Description

Did you know that candle snuffers date back to the 17th century? The designs may change, but the function remains the same! While many people simply blow out a candle, the best way to extinguish the flame is by using a candle snuffer, like this elegant Acorn Candle Snuffer from Danforth Pewter.

The acorn shaped bell at the end of the oak leaf and twig handle puts out a flame by cutting off oxygen to it, thus reducing the soot and carbon emission when the flame goes out. The end result is a more consistent and manageable wick, extending the life of your candle and a safer way to extinguish the flame by keeping smoke and soot out of your face and lungs.
